Parenthood’s executive producer Jason Katims has revealed details of what is coming up for Jasmine and Crosby next season.

The duo, played by Joy Bryant and Dax Shepard, were seen laughing together in the recent season finale after a long period of difficulties in their relationship.

However, Katims warned fans not to expect them to get back together right away.

“When we start this season, things have not worked out between them the way people might have thought from that last image of the second season,” he told TV Guide. “They’re not at war, but they’re not together at the beginning of the season.”

Katims added that Jasmine and Crosby will be trying to be more civil in the future, saying: “We’re always trying to look for ways on the show to explore things that are relevant to parenthood today that we might not have explored.

“We want to explore the idea of Jasmine and Crosby living separately, trying to go on with their lives individually, but wanting to both be there for their son, Jabbar, and the challenges of that.”

The new season of Parenthood, which will see the return of Michael B. Jordan and Jason Katims, premieres on September 13 on NBC.
