Sarah Emily Ramos (born May 21, 1991) is an American actress. Her most prominent roles have been as Patty Pryor on the television series American Dreams and Haddie Braverman on the series Parenthood.

Career

Ramos was nominated for three Young Artist Awards; in 2003 for “Best Television Ensemble”, in 2004 for “Best Young Actress Under 10, Television Drama”, and in 2005 for “Best Supporting Actress, Television Drama or Comedy” for her work in American Dreams.

In 2003, she won “Best Actress, Television Drama” from Women’s Image Network. In April 2006, she landed the role of Hannah Rader, in the CW series Runaway, however the show was canceled after one season.

In 2009, she was cast as Haddie Braverman in the NBC series Parenthood.

Ramos has written several sitcom pilots.

Personal life

Ramos was born in Los Angeles, California, of Hispanic and Jewish descent. She became very interested in acting at a young age.”According to her mother, 11-year-old Sarah Ramos would go to bed each night pleading to get an agent — then wake up each morning asking about the status of her parent’s talent agent search.”

1) Sarah’s favorite place to vacation is the beach.

2) In the future Sarah would like to become involved in directing, writing, or even cast directing.

3) Sarah loves to shop for dresses, even though she admits to not wearing them very often.

4) Sarah’s favorite clothes are those of the Betsy Johnson clothing line.

5) When not acting, Sarah works for a teen violence protection program, which her aunt founded.

6) Sarah enjoys a lot of older music, including the work of Simon and Garfunkel.

7) In her free time Sarah has been known to do some writing, including her own sitcom scripts!

8 ) Sarah and co-star Vanessa Lengies are cheerleaders for the basketball team “The Hollywood Knights.”

9) One of Sarah’s favorite books is “Sixth Grade Secrets” by Louis Sachar. She reviewed it for Scholastic Magazine once.

10) Some of Sarah’s favorite actresses are Amanda Bynes, Cameron Diaz, and Reese Witherspoon.

11) In her free time Sarah enjoys hanging out with her friends, playing soccer and dancing.

12) Sarah was nominated along with Brittany Snow, Vanessa Lengies and Ethan Dampf for the Best Ensemble Television Show in 2003.

13) Before “American Dreams,” Sarah appeared in commercials, including commercials for Ford, Boeing, and Universal Studios.

14) Sarah Ramos was honored with the “Best TV Actress” award by the Women’s Image Network for her role as Patty on American Dreams.
